Hemmings Find of the Day: 1985 BMW 635CSi

1985 BMW 635CSi for sale on From the seller’s description:

This outstanding, original 1985 BMW 635CSi was first sold through Inskip Motors in Warwick, RI, and used as an executive vehicle in NYC before being purchased by its second owner in 1992. I purchased the car in 2016 from the second owner. Powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six and mated to a (relatively rare) five-speed manual transmission, it is finished in black (mostly original paint) over beige leather and equipped with sport seats, fog lamps, an M-Tech steering wheel, and a sunroof.

This rust-free E24 is offered with partial records, two sets of keys, factory literature, a clean AutoCheck report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

Exterior features include a refinished front spoiler with integrated fog lamps, four OE Wagner halogen headlights, and a replacement windshield. Factory 15″ metric wheels are wrapped in new Michelin TRX rubber from Coker Tire.

The interior features powered sport seats with individually-adjustable thigh supports and headrests. Embroidered (OE) BMW floor mats cover the carpets. Wear is shown on the driver’s seat outer bolster, and the factory dash pad displays minor cracks.

The six-digit mechanical odometer shows just under 71k original miles. Additionally, a June 2019 AutoCheck report shows no accidents or other damage and a sequence of reported odometer readings beginning in 1992 at 25k miles.

This E24 is very original (including the anti-theft radio and exhaust) and in excellent shape. Reluctant sale due to loss of storage space.
