Daily Briefing: National Corvette Museum offers student scholarship; Montecito Motor Classic to be held at new venue

The directors at the National Corvette Museum announce a new annual student scholarship of $2,500, for those who wish to pursue a degree related to automotive, museum or non-profit industry, or any field which works within those industries. The scholarship is part of the museum’s ongoing efforts to promote education and preserve future interest in the automotive-related industries.

Applicants must be NCM members or children or grandchildren of NCM members and membership must be current at the time of application. Applications are available online in January/February each year and payments are made to the winner in September.

The Montecito Motor Classic will take place this September in the Santa Barbara area for the eight time. This year’s show will be based at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club. This venue will host 140 world-class rare and exotic cars while providing the picturesque backdrop of the Pacific Ocean. Considered one of the greatest polo clubs in the Western United States, the club was opened in 1911 and has had countless famous members including Charlie Chaplin and Will Rogers.
