Three-row 1986 Chevrolet Celebrity station wagon for sale on From the seller’s description:

This 1986 Chevy Celebrity Estate has been wonderfully preserved and maintained during its life and has covered just 60,000 miles. Having recently undergone a mechanical refreshing, this eight-passenger station wagon is ready to cover many more miles and create more lasting memories.

This specific Celebrity Estate, has a solid exterior; paint-depth readings indicate the wagon still wears its original yellow paint and vinyl wood paneling. The paint presents very nicely with no fading. All body panels are believed to be original and show very few blemishes due to age; there a few spots of minor surface rust in the typical locations, but growth has been minimized by not driving the car in inclement weather. It’s a three owner-vehicle that moved between members of the same family since new. Underbody is solid and shows good coverage of factory rust-proofing. The wagon’s plethora of glass is in great shape with no scratching or cracks; the windshield was recently replaced and is surrounded by new weather stripping. The wagon wears its original steel rims and hubcaps, now with new Hankook tires.

Having traveled just over 60,000 miles so far, the interior of the Celebrity Estate is ready to host more memorable moments. Outfitted with three rows of bench seats, the tan vinyl presents very well and remarkably complements the car’s exterior making for an aesthetically pleasing automobile. Interior trim is in good nick with a solid dashboard and trim pieces, headliner is in phenomenal shape and is still evenly adhered to the ceiling. The bench seats are well padded and offer a cushioning ride. Tan carpeting runs the length of the car from front foot well to the rear-facing third row. Each passenger door is equipped with roll down windows, the rear compartment is fitted with extending wing-windows on each side. The Celebrity Estate’s rear-gate has a dual function feature allowing the whole hatch to open or just the back glass. The original AM/FM is still mounted in the dash and is connected to four new speakers located in the dashboard and rear hatch; an upgraded stereo unit is available that blends vintage styling with modern amenities such as Bluetooth and auxiliary input, but the next caretaker can upgrade to this at their discretion.

While operating the Celebrity Estate, each gauge functions properly and each has a clean face. Buttons and switches feel well built and do not show any signs of rough use or delicacy due to age. Heater blows hot and air conditioning blows cold; the A/C system has been professionally upgraded and converted to R134 making this wagon ready for long trips during the heat of summer.

This Celebrity Estate is equipped with its original 2.8L carbureted V6 matted to a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. Power is driven to the front wheels. The wagon has power steering and power disc brakes at the front and drum at the rear. Not meant to be a performance car by any means, the V6 runs stout and offers comfortable acceleration and smooth shifting. The wagon’s handling is comfortable and tight with the addition of a new steering rack, front struts, rear shocks and tires. Fluids and gaskets were recently changed along with a new engine mount. The drivetrain has no modifications or upgrades from original factory spec; a neat fact about this engine is that it was available in the Chevy S10 of the same period and a roots supercharger was available from a small tuning company at that time! Can you imagine a small family station wagon making near 300hp with a supercharger whine?!

This well-preserved station wagon is ready for a cruise on the town or a cross country roadtrip.
