“A bit more of a dynamic car:” How Lotus created the Elise

It’s not an exaggeration to say that the Lotus Elise is the most important car in the company’s recent history; after all, Lotus officials themselves said as much in this documentary that details the rationale for, the conception of, and the design process behind the Elise. In a way, though, it may also be one of the most significant cars of all of autodom’s recent history, given that it served as the basis for the Tesla Roadster and thus helped launch the company that may ultimately prove the catalyst for the widescale adoption of electric cars.
