This is a 1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Executive Sedan ( sometimes called a Formal Sedan or Town Car). It was a Custom Car based on the Mark IV (modified by Hess and Eisenhardt of Cincinnati, Ohio ). Only 78 Cars were produced in 1959. How many are left? ,the cars were built to order. It has dual air conditioners front and rear. The trunk holds most of the blowers and electronics. Standard was:
Electric Door Locks
6 power windows
6 way power seat
Rear Slip Differential
Radio: Town and Country
The car has 109,500 miles on the engine. ( odometer is frozen ). Instrument panel lights do not come on. The fuel pump, water pump, generator ( rebuilt ) has been replaced. In addition the master cylinder has been rebuilt. I have virtually new Tires ( from Lucas ) which have only about 800 miles on them.
It has a Limo type interior with wool broadcloth materials all original.grey. Some panels on the seat need to be replaced. The headliner is in tact but has faded to a brown color. The original color was grey. The Car is a survivor with only moderate updates like a transistorized ignition. The paint ( Black Lacquer ) is called Presidential Black and is also original.
It has great power from its 430 Cu Inch motor and easily cruises at over 75 mph.
