Published in blog.hemmings.com

Restored 1951 Crosley CD station wagon for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller’s description:

Restored 1951 Crosley Super Station Wagon in seafoam green. Car is in nice condition with odometer showing only 2,400 miles, which could be correct, not sure. Seats 4 adults and rear seat folds forward for more cargo capacity. Mechanically sound and fun to drive anywhere with no worries. New dual axle trailer may also be available for sale to haul this little guy.

Crosley’s have been noted for their post war innovations including an engine with more horsepower per pound than any other car in the world, one of the first mass produced engines with an overhead cam, rotating exhaust valves, nodular crankshaft and 5 main bearings. Crosley also built the first all-steel station wagon, the first production car with disc brakes and turn signals were standard. AND gas mileage was advertised as 35-50 mpg, but production at the Indiana plant finally ended July 3, 1952.
