Published in

Low-mileage 1949 Packard Deluxe Eight touring sedan for sale on From the seller’s description:

This Packard, a 23 series Anniversary Edition (#2362), was purchased in Seattle,WA from what I belive was the car’s second owner, who only put on 3,000 of its original miles 39,000 miles on it’s odometer when I purchased it. 127 inch Wheel base, 8 CY, 327 cui, 145 HP. It’s a beautiful specimen and brought a Second in class at the 2003 National Packard Meet in Santa Rosa ,CA. Car was also shown in the 2011 Hillsborough Concours, featured in the August 2011 Gentry Magazine and displayed at the Filoli Mansion Holiday event. Everything in the car works and is in beautiful condition, including its Electronic Clutch and Overdrive. For those unfamiliar with such a transmission; the Electronic option converts the transmission to an automatic drive utilizing engine vacaum to advance the clutch and gears. The only thing not original to the car are its radial tires and a high-quality repaint.

The car was also featured in the Francis Ford Coppolla film, “On The Road” and spent three days with a film crew-a great addition to the car’s provenance. I’ve put on roughly 2,500 miles on the car since becoming its third owner to enjoy it as much as my wife and I have. Present Odometer reading is 42,412 miles. Options include: Overdrive, Eletromatic Clutch, Radio, Heater, Turn Signal,Back up Light.
