Hemmings Find of the Day – 1954 Hudson Hornet Brougham Convertible

Published in

From the seller’s description:

Up for sale is a 1954 Hudson Hornet Brougham Convertible in superb condition. This car underwent an extensive nut and bolt restoration that included every option possible. Finished in its original color of Royal Red, it shows well everywhere it goes. This car spent its entire life in California before being moved to its current location in New Mexico. There are no rust issues as underneath pictures show. Major options include Twin-H, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power top, and period correct Moto Wheel/ Kelsey Hayes wire wheels with Coker white walls. The above options all function well as they should. Other options include back-up lights and Hudson Kleenex dispenser. The interior was redone using burgundy leather for the seats and comes with a matching leather parade boot. The chrome and stainless are perfect along with the glass as well. When the car was restored, an all new wiring harness was used from YNZ harness in California. These wiring harnesses are the original type used and take three months to get. There was also a new top installed with glass insert. Even though this Hudson was a one year only body style and convertibles are rare, others do come up for sale but do not have the options or attention to detail that this one does. This is also a California black plate car.
