Dusty but not rusty 1974 AMC Gremlin for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller’s description:
“Barn Find” 1974 AMC Gremlin. Believed to be 80 percent original Orange paint and tan interior, with under 30,000 miles. History since purchase: Previous one family owner said this car was placed in a commercial building and stored from around 1979 unit when I bought the car few years ago.The car was purchased about 3 years ago in E. WA, in a small community where the owner had the car stored in a small commercial building he owned in the late 1970s I believe, along with a early 60s Fiat cabriolet and Austin Healey. The Gremlin was in a area where a wall was built up around it, which the owner’s relatives had to tear down to allow me to remove the car when I bought the 3 cars. I believe the car has 27,000? original miles. I took photos of the car in this room, and on a trailer but somehow the photos were lost. A friend who helped pickup the cars said he has photos of the car and was supposed to email them to me last week. I will remind him. The car is now stored in our leased storage facility, locked indoors, in Yakima WA, near where the car was found. the back area behind the seats is filled with extra, Gemlin X trim and parts. Inline 6 cylinder engine is presently stuck, but I am hopeful we can get this turning over. Prevous owner collected badging, trim and other items to build a Gremlin ( (V8) replica.(see attached photo of possible build for this car) Roof Rack and other options. More photos to come in the next couple of weeks I hope. This car has great potential to keep stock and get driving again, or build a Gremlin X clone.
