Hemmings Find of the Day – 1959 Cadillac Series 62

Published in

Garage-kept 1959 Cadillac Series 62 for sale on From the seller’s description:

This vehicle has been garage kept since my great uncle bought it used in 1962. It was garage kept, and he drove it until 1974 and has sit inside ever since. The motor was last started in the mid-90s when my uncle died, leaving it to my dad. Neither my father nor I ever had any real interest in seeing it back on the road, so it remained in my grandmother’s garage since that time. My father recently passed, leaving it to me. I would like to part with it and give it to someone who has a passion for these and would like a restoration project.

The photos show the condition pretty well. It needs tires and the fuel tank is sitting in the trunk because there are no straps to hold it in place underneath. It will definitely need to be towed away on a roll back. The mileage shown on the dashboard is original, as is shown by the inspection sticker. I have supporting documents for this also. Unfortunately, when the title was tranferred to my father, the mileage status on the title was set as exceeds mechanical limits. Fortunately, it is possible to correct this with the proper forms, documentation and statements.
