Las Vegas, 1953

Published in blog.hemmings.com

We can’t resist coming back to Las Vegas’s Fremont Street – pre-enclosure – time and time again. Thanks to all the neons and the flashy signs that advertised the casinos and other establishments there, it seems more people than not splurged on their precious color film rolls, so we get more vivid glimpses of Fremont far earlier than we do other places. Take, for instance, this 1953 photo that Vintage Las Vegas recently posted, with plenty of traffic and parked cars to identify. What do you see here?
