Plate No. MG 442 • Car No. 2/M1030 • Engine No. AG 773A
Car left MG Factory in Abingdon, Berkshire on February 18, 1930
The image was taken during the JCC Members Day on July 5, 1930 in which No. 20 was entered
and driven by C.E. Wood. The other MG No. 27 pictured is driven by the Earl of March. This event
used an unusual circuit layout involving access roads around Brooklands rather than the normal
and infamous Brooklands banking C.E. Wood raced in 16 events at Brooklands.

In 1931 this “M” was modified by March Modelers of Mayfair London. The car was rebodied in aluminium, a race preped
Morris engine replaced the original, hydrolic brakes added and the fuel tank moved to the rear of the car.
